  1. A funeral establishment that performs embalming shall:
    1. Maintain a sanitary preparation room with sanitary flooring, drainage, and ventilation;
    2. Employ universal biological hazard precautions;
    3. Employ reasonable care to minimize the risk of transmitting communicable diseases from human remains;
    4. Be equipped with instruments and supplies necessary to protect the health and safety of the public and employees of the funeral establishment; and
    5. Transport human remains in a safe and sanitary manner.
  2. A funeral establishment that transports human remains shall:
    1. Use a motor vehicle that is appropriate for the transportation of human remains; and
    2. Transport human remains in a safe and sanitary manner.
  3. A funeral establishment shall remove any implanted device in human remains before transporting the body to a crematory.
