  • (a) The Virgin Islands Commission on Interstate Cooperation, hereafter in this chapter referred to as the “Commission,” is created. The Commission shall be composed of ten regular members, as follows—

    • (1) the five members of the Legislature’s Committee on Interstate Cooperation, and

    • (2) the five members of the Governor’s Committee on Interstate Cooperation.

  • (b) The Governor and the President of the Legislature shall be ex officio honorary nonvoting members of the Commission. The Chairman of the Governor’s Committee on Interstate Cooperation shall be ex officio Chairman of the Commission and the Chairman of the Legislature’s Committee on Interstate Cooperation shall be ex officio first Vice-Chairman of the Commission.

  • (c) Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation for such service, but they shall be paid their necessary expenses in carrying out their obligations under this chapter.
