- The department of education shall have the following duties regarding the second chance program:
- To notify all school districts of the procedures to be followed in processing applications from eligible students;
- To gather information on participating schools and advertise the program to potentially eligible students and their parents;
- To receive enrollment information and audit the students and schools participating in the program;
- To provide assistance as requested to participating school districts, schools, students, and parents;
- To hear appeals of disputes arising between participating school districts, schools, students, and parents.
- Repealed.
