§ 23-79-1003. Arkansas Safety-net Benefit Program

(a)

1. (1) There is created the Arkansas Safety-net Benefit Program.

2. (2) Employer participation in the program shall be voluntary.

(b) Employers electing to participate shall comply with all program requirements, including, but not limited to:

1. (1) Establishing that all employees have health insurance coverage; and

2. (2) Making payments to the program at times and in amounts as determined by the Department of Human Services to be necessary for the operation of the program for:

   1. (A) All covered employees and covered spouses; and

   2. (B) All other employees, regardless of income, except employees exempted by rule of the department.
