As used in this part 6, unless the context otherwise requires:
- “County board of health” means the body acting as the county or district board of health under the provisions of section 25-1-508.
- “Health department” means the department of public health and environment or any county or district public health agency organized and maintained under the provisions of part 5 of article 1 of this title.
- “Health officer” means the person appointed as the public health director of a district, county, city, or town under the provisions of section 25-1-509.
- “Inoculation against rabies” means the administration of the antirabies vaccine as approved by the department of public health and environment or the county or district department of health.
- “Owner” means any person who has a right of property in a dog, cat, other pet animal, or other mammal, or who keeps or harbors a dog, cat, other pet animal, or other mammal, or who has it in his care or acts as its custodian.
