There is established as a division within the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands subject to the powers of the Chief Justice, the Territorial Probation Office, which shall be headed by a Chief Probation Officer. The Presiding Judge of the Superior Court may appoint one or more qualified persons to serve as probation officers of the Superior Court.
