- No person shall operate a food establishment who does not hold a valid permit issued to the person by the commissioner on or before July 1 of each year, or as the commissioner may otherwise provide by rule and regulation.
- Every person now engaged in the business of operating a food establishment, and every person who, on July 1, 2015, engages in such a business, shall procure a permit from the commissioner for each food establishment so operated or proposed to be operated.
- Each permit for food establishments shall expire on June 30 following its issuance or as the commissioner may otherwise provide by rule and regulation.
- No permit shall be transferred from one (1) location or person to another.
- The permit shall be kept and displayed in a conspicuous manner, and visible to the public in the food establishment for which it is issued.
