In order to minimize the possibility of endangering the health and welfare of the public and/or the development of esthetically offensive conditions, subsurface sewage disposal systems shall be so located, constructed and maintained that wastes discharged to or from such systems:
- Do not contaminate any drinking water supply;
- Are not accessible to rodents, insects or other potential carriers of disease;
- Do not pollute or contaminate surface or ground water;
- Are not a health hazard by being accessible to the general public;
- Do not cause a nuisance due to odor or unsightly appearance; and
- Will not violate any other laws or regulations governing water pollution or sewage disposal.
