§ 372. Learners’ permits

Under conditions established by the Director of Motor Vehicles, learners’ permits may be issued which authorize the applicant to operate a motor vehicle in areas designated by the Director when accompanied by a licensed operator who shall be responsible for the proper operation of the vehicle.

§ 372a. Virgin Islands Identification Card

The Director of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles is authorized to issue a Virgin Islands Identification Card to any natural person who is a legal resident of the Virgin Islands.

§ 372b. Definition

(a) The term “Virgin Islands Identification Card” shall mean and refer to a non driver identification card, a non real ID Identification Card, or Territorial Identification Card issued pursuant to the provisions of this chapter.
