§ 57-49-37. Implementation of agreements, modifications and technical revisions
The board, in consultation with the committee and council, shall implement all agreements, modifications and technical revisions approved pursuant to this chapter. In doing so, the board may solicit the views of appropriate state agencies, local units of government, and interested citizen groups.

The board shall attempt to finance all of its expenses from monies received from the federal Department of Energy and other federal agencies and from gifts and grants received from other persons. In appropriate cases, the board upon recommendation of the council shall request the state Attorney General to institute or intervene in judicial proceedings to protect the state’s interests and present the state’s point of view on matters related to the long-term or temporary storage and/or permanent disposal of high-level radioactive waste or transuranic waste.
