Section 3-1-3 – Municipalities; name; prohibiting the use of name of another municipality.

Any municipality may be known as the: A. “city of …………”; B. “town of …………”; or C. “village of …………”; but no municipality which changes its name or incorporates shall adopt the name of an existing municipality.
