3-7-19-1. Designation of Voter Registration Office

Sec. 1. Each board of registration office that is not located in the same building as the principal office of the circuit court clerk or board of registration office is designated as a voter registration office under 52 U.S.C. 20506(a)(3). 3-7-19-3. Governing Body

Sec. 3. For the purposes of this chapter, the county election board is the “governing body” under IC 3-7-18. As added by P.L.12-1995, SEC.28.

3-7-19-4. Submission of Application

Sec. 4. An individual who registers to vote under this chapter must submit a voter registration application to a member or an employee of the board of registration. As added by P.L.12-1995, SEC.28.

3-7-19-5. Designated Individual Not Required

Sec. 5. The governing body is not required to designate an individual to be responsible for performing the voter registration duties of the board. As added by P.L.12-1995, SEC.28.

3-7-19-6. Prohibited Acts

Sec. 6. As provided in 52 U.S.C. 20506(a)(5), an employee or volunteer of a county voter registration office may not do any of the following: (1) Seek to influence an applicant’s political preference or party registration.
