Sec. 1. The state police department shall make at least an average of twenty-five (25) weight checks per week for each patrolman of the department. Sec. 2. To the degree possible, all permanent weigh stations must be staffed during the hours of heavy commercial truck traffic. Enforcement crews shall operate portable scales frequently enough to discourage heavy truck traffic on Indiana secondary highways.
