(a) The Maryland Department of Health may conduct unannounced inspections of licensed retailers to ensure the licensee’s compliance with the provisions of this title and § 10–107 of the Criminal Law Article. Unless otherwise specified in this title, a person that violates any provision of this title is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days or both.
