Section 17-1403 – License Required

    Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a person must have a promoter license whenever the person acts as a promoter in the State.

Section 17-1404 – Applications for Licenses

    (a)    An applicant for a promoter license shall:         (1)    pay to the clerk a license fee of $500; and         (2)    get a health permit from the health officer.     (b)    An applicant for a health permit shall:         (1)    post a bond in accordance with § 17–1405 of this subtitle;         (2)    establish adequate health facilities and sanitation in accordance with any regulations adopted […]

Section 17-1407 – Acting as Promoter Without License

    (a)    Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a person may not act as a promoter in the State unless the person has a promoter license.     (b)    A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or both.
