Section 13-2111 – Gaming Events and Gaming Devices

    A qualified organization may hold a gaming event and may operate a gaming device if an individual or group of individuals does not:         (1)    benefit financially from the operation of the gaming device; or         (2)    receive from the operation of the gaming device any proceeds for personal use or benefit.

Section 13-2002 – Scope of Subtitle

    (a)    This subtitle applies only in Queen Anne’s County.     (b)    This subtitle does not authorize gambling using a slot machine or coin machine.

Section 13-2005 – Bingo

    To benefit charity in the county or to further its purposes, an entity may conduct bingo if the entity is a bona fide:         (1)    religious organization;         (2)    fraternal organization;         (3)    charitable organization; or         (4)    volunteer fire company operating in a community that does not have a paid fire department.

Section 13-2006 – Prohibited Act; Penalty

    (a)    A person who violates a provision of § 13-2002, § 13-2003, or § 13-2004 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.     (b)    Each day that a person violates this section is a separate violation.

Section 13-2101 – Definitions

Section 13-2103 – Bingo — License Required

    (a)    A qualified organization must have a bingo license whenever the qualified organization conducts bingo.     (b)    The county commissioners may adopt regulations, in consultation with the designee under § 13–2105 of this subtitle, to administer and enforce bingo activities in the county.

Section 13-2104 – Bingo — Qualified Organizations
