Section 13-1003 – Membership
(a) (1) The Council consists of the members described in this subsection. Section 13-1004 – Chair
The Council shall elect a chair from among its members.
Section 13-807 – Legal Advisor
The Council may: (1) select and retain its own legal counsel; or (2) use the Attorney General as its legal counsel.
Section 13-1005 – Compensation
A member of the Council is not entitled to compensation as a member of the Council.
Section 13-808 – Financial Support
(a) The State and Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties may jointly finance the Council and its activities. (b) (1) The State may provide financial support to the Council to assist in carrying out the activities of the Council. Section 13-1006 – Executive Director
(a) The Council may employ an Executive Director. (b) The Executive Director serves at the pleasure of the Council.
Section 13-809 – Bylaws and Rules
The Council may adopt bylaws and rules for the conduct of its business and to carry out its mission.
Section 13-810 – Cooperation
The Council shall cooperate with State and local units that have relevant statutory functions and duties.
