    The Department shall specifically request the Governor to appropriate and identify in a separate line item in the annual budget the moneys necessary to carry out this subtitle.

Section 13-402 – Statement of Purpose

    The purposes of this subtitle and of the advisory councils that it creates are to protect and improve physical fitness, including:         (1)    Improvement of habits in recreation, exercise, sports, and the use of leisure time;         (2)    Protection and improvement of physique and health; and         (3)    Improvement of instruction for any of these purposes.
