A hospital with a continuing education program may offer and require the hospital’s medical staff and health care practitioners to take a continuing medical education or continuing education unit course that addresses health care services disparities of minority populations.

Section 20-1001 – Definitions
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) “Director” means the Director of the Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities. (c) “Minority person” includes African Americans, Hispanics, Asian and Pacific Islanders, and American Indians statewide. (d) “Office” means the Maryland Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities established under § 20-1002 of this subtitle.
