Section 8-802 – Termination of Title

Section 8-7A-03 – Construction With Other Laws

    (a)    This Nurse Licensure Compact may not nullify any other provision in this title or any other title applicable to the practice of nursing in the State.     (b)    In any instance where this Nurse Licensure Compact is silent as to an issue, the other provisions of this title and any regulations promulgated under this title shall prevail.

Section 8-7A-04 – Regulations

    In addition to the powers and duties set forth in this title, the Board shall promulgate regulations to effectuate the provisions of this Nurse Licensure Compact.

Section 8-7A-05 – Purpose

    This Nurse Licensure Compact:     (a)    Is designed to facilitate the regulation of nurses, and may not relieve employers from complying with contractual and statutorily imposed obligations; and     (b)    May not supersede existing State labor laws.
