Section 8-1002 – Applicability of Subtitle

    This subtitle does not apply to:         (1)    a shelter care facility or residential respite program licensed by the Department of Human Services; or         (2)    a detention center or shelter care facility operated by or under contract with the Department of Juvenile Services.

Section 8-710 – Operating Without a License

    (a)    A person may not operate a residential child care program in the State without a license.     (b)    A person who violates subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 for each day of operation.

Section 8-1201 – Appropriations

    (a)    For fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, the Governor shall include in the State budget an appropriation of not less than:         (1)    $3,500,000 to the local management board for Baltimore City for the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund; and         (2)    $1,000,000 for the Baltimore City YouthWorks Summer Jobs program.     (b)    (1)    The funding required under this section shall […]
