Section 10-702 – Shooting Game Birds and Mammals or Protected Birds at Field Trials During Closed Season
(a) Any club or association holding a field trial during closed hunting season may not shoot or attempt to shoot any game bird or mammal or protected bird. (b) Game birds bred, raised, or purchased in captivity may be shot in flight immediately upon release at retriever trials after being positively identified.
Section 10-703 – Nonresident Dogs Participating in Field Trials Exempt From License Taxes
Dogs brought into the State to participate in field trials and which are to be removed from the State within 15 days after field trials are held shall be exempted from the payment of State, city, or county license tax.
