The Maryland Intrastate Emergency Management Assistance Compact is entered into with all other jurisdictions that adopt the Compact in a form substantially similar to the Compact set forth in this subtitle.

Section 14-8A-03 – Local Provisions Requiring Additional Terms Inapplicable
Any provision or part of a state, local, or municipal corporation statute, law, or ordinance that requires a mutual aid agreement to contain additional terms or conditions is inapplicable to an agreement authorized by and entered into under this subtitle.
Section 14-901 – Scope of Subtitle
This subtitle does not apply to: (1) students; (2) individuals who are preparing themselves to engage in trade or industrial pursuits; (3) individuals who are temporarily unemployed because of differences with their employers; and (4) individuals who are engaged or employed in a seasonal business, trade, or occupation in Baltimore City or Allegany County.
Section 14-902 – Appointment or Employment of Assistants
To carry out this subtitle, the Governor may appoint or employ assistants and use any available and appropriate agencies.
