Section 10-205 – Award as Addition to Regular Pay
An award made under this subtitle is in addition to the regular pay of the recipient.
Section 10-206 – Grievance Procedures Inapplicable
A determination under this subtitle about any award or proposed award is not subject to employee grievance procedures.
Section 10-207 – Source of Funds
A cash award and expenses related to other awards under this subtitle shall be paid: (1) from increased revenue or monetary savings attributable to the innovative idea or service; (2) from the funds of any principal unit that employs the employee or that benefits from the innovative idea or service; or (3) as provided in the State budget.
Section 10-208 – Regulations and Reports
(a) (1) The Secretary shall adopt regulations to carry out this subtitle. (2) Regulations to implement the Innovative Idea Awards Program shall be made with the concurrence of the Governor’s Award Panel. Section 10-301 – Scope of Subtitle
This subtitle applies to nontemporary employees in the State Personnel Management System.
Section 10-302 – Length of Service Awards
To recognize length of State service, the Secretary shall give to each employee subject to this subtitle an appropriate emblem and certificate for: (1) the first 10 years of service; and (2) each additional 5 years of service.
