Section 2-701 – “Returning Veteran” Defined

    In this subtitle, “returning veteran”:         (1)    means an individual who left State employment to perform military service in the armed forces of the United States and who seeks reinstatement to State employment; and         (2)    does not include an individual who left State employment while serving as a temporary employee.

    This subtitle applies to all units in the Executive, Judicial, and Legislative branches of State government, including any unit with an independent personnel system.
