NRS 217.550 – Definitions.
As used in NRS 217.550 to 217.590, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and terms defined in NRS 217.555 to 217.575, inclusive, have the meanings ascribed to them in those sections. (Added to NRS by 2019, 4350)
NRS 217.555 – “Certification” defined.
“Certification” means the certification of a Form I-918, Supplement B, U Nonimmigrant Status Certification, as required by 8 U.S.C. § 1184(p) regarding a Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status by a certifying agency. (Added to NRS by 2019, 4350)
NRS 217.560 – “Certifying agency” defined.
“Certifying agency” means: 1. A state or local law enforcement agency; 2. A prosecutor; 3. A judge; or 4. Any other governmental agency that has criminal, civil or administrative investigative or prosecutorial authority. (Added to NRS by 2019, 4350)
