NRS 512.002 – Definitions.

As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and terms defined in NRS 512.003 to 512.009, inclusive, have the meanings ascribed to them in such sections. (Added to NRS by 1975, 514)

NRS 512.003 – “Accident” defined.

“Accident” means any unplanned event which caused or could have caused death or bodily injury or which endangered or could have endangered human life and includes any mine fire, mine explosion, mine ignition, unplanned initiation of explosives, entrapment or falls of ground or inundation by water, dust or gas.
