10-3c-103. Status and powers.
A metro township:

• (1) is:
  • (a) a body corporate and politic with perpetual succession;
  • (b) a municipal corporation; and
  • (c) a political subdivision of the state; and

• (2) may:
  • (a) sue and be sued; and
  • (b) except where expressly prohibited, exercise any power or responsibility generally granted to a municipality.
