672:8 Local Legislative Body. –
"Local legislative body" means one of the following basic forms of government utilized by a municipality:
I. Council, whether city or town;
II. Mayor-council;
III. Mayor-board of aldermen;
IV. Village district or precinct;
V. Town meeting; or
VI. County convention.
