§ 20-15-301. Injunction

(a) (1) (A) All newborn infants shall be tested for phenylketonuria, hypothyroidism, galactosemia, cystic fibrosis, sickle-cell anemia, and spinal muscular atrophy. This subchapter shall not apply to any child whose parents or guardian objects thereto on the grounds that it conflicts with the tenets and practices of a recognized church or religious faith of which the parent or guardian is an adherent or member.
