§ 20-7-501. Title

This subchapter shall be known and may be cited as the “Arkansas Health-Conscious Shopper Act”.

§ 20-7-502. Findings — Intent

(a) The General Assembly finds that shopping cart handles may be contaminated with bodily fluids such as blood, saliva, mucus, and even urine and fecal matter. § 20-7-503. Arkansas Health-Conscious Shopper Program

(a) There is created the Arkansas Health-Conscious Shopper Program. (b) Under the program, each Arkansas business that uses shopping carts or infant carriers is encouraged to voluntarily provide consumers with sanitation wipes at the entrance of its business on or before January 1, 2008.

§ 20-7-504. Department of Health — Guidelines

The Department of Health shall develop guidelines for businesses in the appropriate types and use of sanitation wipes for shopping cart handles.
