§ 73-47-1. Short title
This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the “Occupational Board Compliance Act of 2017.”

This chapter shall not apply to occupational licensing boards that are not controlled by active market participants.
By establishing and executing the policies provided in this chapter, the State of Mississippi intends to ensure that occupational licensing boards and board members shall avoid liability under federal antitrust laws.
As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: “Active market participant” means an individual who is: Licensed by an occupational licensing board; Provides any service subject to the regulatory authority of an occupational licensing board; or Is subject to […]
