The county clerk shall certify upon every instrument recorded by the county clerk the time when it was recorded and a reference to where it is recorded. Every instrument is considered recorded at the time it was so certified. [Amended by 1999 c.654 §10]

Section 93.650 – Effect of record or certified transcript in evidence.

The record of a conveyance duly recorded, or a transcript thereof certified by the county clerk in whose office it is recorded may be read in evidence in any court in the state, with the like effect as the original conveyance.
