Section 11-508 – Commitment to Custody of Commissioner of Correction or Transfer to Other Local Correctional Facility

    If an inmate is committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Correction or transferred to another local correctional facility:         (1)    the inmate’s record of accrued diminution credits shall be forwarded to the receiving correctional facility; and         (2)    the receiving correctional facility shall apply the credits to reduce the inmate’s term of confinement.

Section 11-509 – Transfer to Hospital or Mental Institution

    If an inmate is entitled to a diminution of the inmate’s term of confinement under this subtitle and is transferred to a hospital or mental institution, the inmate may not be denied credit authorized by this subtitle.
