(a) (1) The Chief Executive Officer: (i) shall determine the personnel requirements of Maryland Correctional Enterprises; (ii) is the appointing authority for all personnel of Maryland Correctional Enterprises; and (iii) may hire individuals and inmates consistent with existing policies and procedures of Maryland Correctional Enterprises as of July 1, 2012.
