333.26402 “Human cloning” defined. Sec. 2. As used in this act, “human cloning” means that term as defined in section 16274 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16274. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999
333.26403 Human cloning; prohibited conduct. Sec. 3. A person shall not use state funds to engage in or attempt to engage in human cloning. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999
333.26404 Exception. Sec. 4. Section 3 does not prohibit the use of state funds for scientific research or cell-based therapies not specifically prohibited by that section. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999

333.26406 Violation; penalty. Sec. 6. A person who violates section 3 is subject to a civil fine of $10,000,000.00. A civil fine imposed under this section shall be distributed in the same manner in which penal fines are distributed in this state. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999
