Section 333.26401 – Short Title.

333.26401 Short title. Sec. 1. This act shall be known and may be cited as “the human cloning funding prohibition act”. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999

Section 333.26402 – “Human Cloning” Defined.

333.26402 “Human cloning” defined. Sec. 2. As used in this act, “human cloning” means that term as defined in section 16274 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16274. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999

Section 333.26404 – Exception.

333.26404 Exception. Sec. 4. Section 3 does not prohibit the use of state funds for scientific research or cell-based therapies not specifically prohibited by that section. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999

Section 333.26406 – Violation; Penalty.

333.26406 Violation; penalty. Sec. 6. A person who violates section 3 is subject to a civil fine of $10,000,000.00. A civil fine imposed under this section shall be distributed in the same manner in which penal fines are distributed in this state. History: 1998, Act 111, Eff. Mar. 23, 1999
