As used in NRS 447.300 to 447.355, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and terms defined in NRS 447.305 to 447.320, inclusive, have the meanings ascribed to them in those sections. (Added to NRS by 2020, 32nd Special Session, 99)
“Director” means the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services. (Added to NRS by 2020, 32nd Special Session, 99)
“Employee” means any natural person in the service of an employer operating a public accommodation facility who provides such service under any appointment or contract of hire or apprenticeship, express or implied, oral or written, whether lawfully or unlawfully employed. “Health authority” means the officers and agents of the district health department or, in a location that is not part of a health district, the officers and agents of the Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Health and Human Services. “Public accommodation facility” or “facility” means a hotel and casino, resort, hotel, motel, hostel, bed and breakfast facility or other facility offering rooms or areas to the public for monetary compensation or other financial consideration on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.
