§ 2498. Provision of summary by physician. The summary shall be provided by a physician to each person under such physician’s care, when a hysterectomy is under consideration for that person.

2499 – Informed Consent.

§ 2499. Informed consent. Nothing in this section shall be construed to create a cause of action for lack of informed consent in any instance in which such cause of action would be limited by section twenty-eight hundred five-d of this chapter.

2499-A – Exception.

§ 2499-a. Exception. The dispensing of the standard written summary shall not pertain when the hysterectomy is performed in a situation of imminent danger in which the physician determines prior dispensing is not possible or feasible.
