§36-7-1. Definitions
In this article: (1) "Adult" means an individual who has attained the age of twenty-one years.

The custodian shall transfer in an appropriate manner the custodial property to the minor or to the minor's estate upon the earlier of: (1) The minor's attainment of twenty-one years of age with respect to custodial property transferred under section four or five of this article;

This article shall be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of this article among states enacting it.
